Log Grapple - HZ-230
Meeting the highest requirements in forestry, the hydraulic log grapple with endless rotator is ideally suitable for timber loading.
Further information ...The boom is manufactured with a stable box-type housing. On the bottom side of the boom there is a serrated edge that fixes the logs and ensures safe handling. The high-quality endless rotator is connected with a large dimensioned universal joint to the boom. The grapple is attached with a flanged bearing to the rotator. This enables a stable connection with low height.
The grapple is made of high-strength fine-grained steel and only bronze bushed pivot pins are used. The signal colour of the grapple enables a good visibility of every position.
Safety for road travel
For road travel the grapple can be brought into a defined transport position by fixíng it to the boom with a hook on the boom. There are no additional tools required for that. This is possible very easily by retracting and closing the grapple without leaving the tractor cab.

The Hauer timber grab is designed for logging applications and attachment to three-point
linkages.
The Hauer timber grab consists of a grapple and a sturdy blade with a serrated edge that fixes the logs and ensures safe handling. The boom is made from hexagonal box steel and is lined with plastic sliders that minimise wear as the boom extends and retracts using self-centring technology. Extending up to 700mm and swiveling 45° to each side, it reaches even those logs that would otherwise be out of reach for the grapple. This suspends from a high-quality 4.5t continuous rotator with a special joint that ensures the rotator is exposed to pulling rather than shearing forces, avoiding the risk of damage during logging. The grapple itself is made of high-strength and fine-grained steel that gives maximum stability. All pivot pins have lubricated bronze bushings.
High durability by special joint
As rotators generally only work with longitudinal forces and not with lateral forces, the high-quality 4,5 to endless rotator is connected with a special joint to the timber grab. This means that the joint is subjected to tension but not bending, so that the tong is protected againgst damages when moving out wood off the forest.
Besides the RZ-4.0, there is also the timber grab RZ-2.0 with inflexible reach arm available.
Further information ...The RZ-2.0 timber grab with inflexible reach arm is a simple alternative of the fully equipped RZ-4.0 timber grab. In terms of stability and quality, both versions are on a par.
For using the grab and rotator only 2 double acting control units are required. Therefore the connection and use is easily possible with most existing tractor spools.
The RZ 2.0 is available with the grab 230 (1450mm max. jaw opening and 0,23m² volume) oder dem Holzgreifer 440 (1700mm max. jaw opening and 0,44m² volume) bestellt werden. Optional kann die RZ-2.0 außerdem mit einer Schildverbreiterung mit 200 mm erweitert werden.

The Hauer logging blade is a bespoke development that stacks and loads round timber of
any size.
The curved design of the blade ensures an optimum grip on the logs. Short and compact, the blade is available with or without a down holder. This beefy down holder is operated by two hydraulic rams that open it to an enormous 155 – 1100 mm. This angle is adjusted by simply refitting two pins in their holes. The cutting edge is made from high-strength and hard-wearing steel which allows owners to use the logging blade also for grading and cleaning up sites. Furthermore, the blades have toothed sides that ensure the logs are securely held in place. Combined mounts for Euro and three-point linkage are an option.
Parking device
There is an optional parking device available for the cylinders, in case the holding down device is demounted.

An optional attachment for combined use of 3-point and Euro is available.

The forest gripper bucket is ideally used for loading of shrub cuttings, smaller wood pieces, and other bulky loads.
Further information ...With the bucket likewise form also digging and grading works can be performed. The buckets are available in different sizes of 1600 to 2400 mm. In order to meet the high requirements of forestry, it is equipped with reinforced side parts and reinforced cutting bars on the bottom side of the bucket The massive down holder which has sickle-shaped tines and strong rams, enables using the bucket volume efficiently and securing the load for transport.
The cutting edges are made of hardened, low-wear high-performance steel with a hardness of approximately 450 HB and guarantee a long lifetime.
Optional side plates
The sides of the forestry gripper bucket can be extended to a full featured bucket by bolted plates, that are available as an option.
Optional additional cutting edge
As an additional wear protection the a second cutting edge screwed below the welded cutting edge. This additional cutting edge can be turned and used on both sides.

The Hauer brushwood grab is a bespoke development for handling brush and tree trimmings and up to 120 mm tree branches.

Professional Equipment
The movable part of the bucket is made in robust box construction. The right-angled rear edge of the bucket is perfect for leveling backwards. To plan forward with the bucket open, a cutting edge made of hardened steel is installed, as well as on the front and back of the moving part of the bucket.
To protect the hydraulic components, a pressure relief valve is fitted as standard.
